John Farrell is
an award-winning performing artist and writer who
works with students, teachers and families in
schools and at community events throughout the
United States and around the world. He has
performed in the US, Canada, Ireland and Japan.
John combines his skills as a singer, songwriter,
storyteller and author with his experience as a
teacher to create educational and irresistibly
entertaining programs for children.John received a Master's
Degree in Creative Arts in Education from Lesley
College. He worked as a special education teacher
before joining Macmillan / McGraw-Hill Publishing
Company where he became the Executive Producer of
"Songs and Stories." This major
audiocassette program incorporates music and
storytelling into the instructional strategies
included in the McGraw-Hill reading series. John
has also had articles published in professional
journals in the U.S. and Japan.

John is often joined in concert and on recordings
by members of his family. His wife, Ann Marie, is
a kindergarten teacher at Taconic Hills
Elementary School in Hillsdale, New York. They
have five children: Katien, Jack, Maggie, and
twins Colleen and Patrick. The Farrells live in
Hillsdale, N.Y. during the school year and spend
their summers on Prince Edward Island in Canada.
