Suggested Activity: Discuss the meaning of self-esteem and how we all like to feel loved and appreciated. Ask students if they like it when someone gives them a compliment such as saying, "Nice job!" or, "You look nice today" or, "I really like the way you did that!" You can write your own lyrics for this song and illustrate them to create a book. This can be done as a group, with a partner, or individually. Students can dictate to the teacher, or beginning writers can write their own words. You can schedule a sharing or performance of the students' work for classmates or family members.
